Situated at Tan Quee Lan Street in the Beach Road enclave, midtown modern is a mixed-use development that will revitalise this part of the Bugis district. Once completed, it will redefine public spaces, enhance street life and introduce an exciting new urban living concept that is sure to be a hit amongst residents.
Midtown Modern is part of GuocoLand’s integrated mixed-use Guoco Midtown, which will rejuvenate the Beach Road district and introduce a new experience of luxury city living. The project will also include the former Beach Road Police station, as well as Grade A office towers and exclusive residential units with public and retail spaces.
It will be the first development in this part of the CBD to offer full condo facilities and vast landscapes. It is a truly unique feature that will set it apart from the rest of the condominiums in this area, and is sure to attract buyers from across Singapore.
The design of the building is a synthesis of textures and colours, with brown and striated concrete and masonry used to convey a sense of calm. This approach echoes the bespoke botanic garden that will be located on the ground floor, designed by ipli Architects who have previously worked with Guocoland on Martin Modern.
The building is topped off by a glass house that bathes residents in dramatic light, changing its appearance throughout the day, and providing a welcome respite from the bustling surroundings. A Japanese-inspired tea house sits by a tranquil lily pond, while a grand lawn on the third floor offers a wide range of green spaces interspersed with pockets of secluded nooks and corners.
