Explosion Proof Valves are a type of solenoid valve used in applications where there is the potential for an explosive environment to form from flammable gases, vapors or easily ignitable dust. These types of environments can occur in a wide variety of industrial settings such as; oil & gas drilling, refineries, chemical processing plants, power generation facilities & marine applications.
These explosion proof valves are designed to meet both global ATEX and North American NEC classification standards. They are available in a variety of port sizes and function types including; direct operated, pilot operated or automatic. The units are supplied with a variety of coil voltages and current ratings from 24 VDC up to 120VAC with a choice of AC or DC solenoids. They also come with visual and electrical valve position indication, manual override & weatherproof enclosure.
This series of explosion proof valves is rated for Class I, Group C and Class II, Division 1, Groups A, B, & D hazardous locations in the United States and Canada. These explosion proof directional control valves are supplied with a UL listed NEMA 7 coil housing which allows them to be used in most commercial, industrial or residential hazardous locations.
These explosion proof solenoid shut-off valves are designed to be used in the hydraulic system of equipment without a mechanical locking system such as a large mechanical stage, lift machine or automobile inspection and maintenance girder. These explosion proof solenoid valves are able to enclose the explosive gas mixture of all parts in the equipment inside of a shell. This shell can withstand any joint surface or structural gap through the cover and penetrate the internal combustible mixture without causing an explosion.
