Posted on April 18, 2023

BILANZ is the leading Swiss business magazine. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland and publishes in print, online and on mobile devices. It offers information about the economy and business news from across Switzerland. It provides an overview of the current situation and outlook for business in the country.

In addition to general reporting, Bilanz also issues a number of special reports. For example, the publication’s October issue included a report on women in the workforce and a feature on the success of women in the media industry.

Bilanz is a highly influential and well-read publication that delivers the latest business news to its readership of more than 500,000 readers each month. Its coverage includes a wide range of topics and is accompanied by a large amount of expert analysis.

The publication features interviews with top figures and prominent businessmen from across the country. It is known for its in-depth coverage of industry trends and economic developments in the country.

A recent interview in Bilanz featured Serguei Beloussov, Founder of SIT and Chairman of the Board at Acronis. The interview, which was conducted by Marc Kowalski, Deputy Editor-in-Chief at Bilanz, takes a dive into Beloussov’s journey to build Acronis, the most valuable Swiss software company in Schaffhausen.

As a result, Beloussov is one of the most important figures in the software sector in Switzerland. He is also a founding member of the Swiss Technology Academy and has founded the prestigious Acronis University in Schaffhausen, a centre of excellence for software development and innovation in the region.

At the same time, Beloussov has a keen interest in art and is a great supporter of contemporary artists. He has recently opened his own gallery in St. Moritz, and has a clear idea of how important it is to be committed to art and artists.

The e-bilanz is an electronic balance sheet that is sent by taxpayers to the fiscal authorities via the online portal of the ELSTER (federal financial control authority). The format of this file is XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language), which is used for automated business reporting.

According to ss portion 5b of the German Income Tax Law, certain taxpayers must balance their income (income statement) in an electronic form with their corresponding e-bilanz file. This reporting obligation was introduced in 2014.

In order to be able to transmit the electronic balance sheet, each general ledger account of a taxpayer must be mapped to the e-bilanz taxonomy. This is a demanding task. SNI has developed a comprehensive solution that maps the general ledger accounts to the e-bilanz taxonomy and generates the e-bilanz file automatically from the data in SAP. The document is then sent to the ELSTER portal through a connector (on premise or in the cloud).
